What to Pack for Paris Regardless of the SeasonThere are a few pieces that can become the foundation of almost any travel wardrobe.
1. One Piece With Character
This could be:
- a blazer with an unusual cut;
- a statement bag;
- jewellery;
- a strong colour;
- distinctive shoes;
- an interesting texture.
A capsule wardrobe should not be anonymous.
If every item is neutral, minimalist and “goes with everything”, you may end up with a wardrobe that says absolutely nothing about you.
2. One Versatile Evening Piece
This could be a dress, suit, blazer or another strong piece that can be adapted for dinner, a meeting or an event.
You do not need a separate outfit for every evening.
It is much more effective to have one strong piece and transform it with shoes, jewellery, a bag and other details.
3. Shoes You Can Actually Walk In
Paris is a city you want to explore on foot.
So it is better to leave beautiful but genuinely uncomfortable shoes at home.
However, “comfortable” does not have to mean sporty shoes with every outfit.
The right loafers, ballet flats, boots or refined sneakers can be both comfortable and visually polished.
4. Accessories
They take up very little space but can completely change an outfit.
A scarf, belt, pair of glasses, jewellery or handbag can often do more for your wardrobe than another basic T-shirt.
